Garner EMS & Rescue Braces for Major Snowstorm

The Wake County area is currently under a Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service from 1800 hours on Friday through Midnight on Saturday.  This winter storm is expected to begin Friday night and last throughout most of Saturday.  Predictions at this time indicate that this storm could bring between 5 to 7 inches of snow to the Raleigh/Garner area.  This will most likely be the largest winter storm in nearly a decade if predictions are correct.  Stay tuned to local weather channels for up to the minute changing forecasts!

Garner EMS & Rescue Squad will be making preparations to remain response ready throughout this storm.  An additionally EMS ambulance will be staffed along with both Heavy Rescue trucks.  Command staff will be in constant communications with the Wake County Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh.
